There's magic in the shared experience of seeing a great story unfold on the screen, together, in the
same room. DPS aims at students’ ability to build active viewing skills. Movies can help develop
children's cognitive skills, such as forming long-term memory, maintaining focus, developing logic,
reasoning, visual and auditory processes. Movies bring up many conversation scenes that can help
introduce children to a lot of vocabulary and pronunciation.
On 2nd November 2023, the KG1s was excited to watch the movie “PAW- PATROL-THE-MIGHTY-MOVIE”. The little
ones were filled with enthusiasm, curiosity, and excitement. The kindergartners first ever trip to watch
a movie with their friends and teachers was indeed magical. As the movie began, they clapped and
cheered!!! They sat back and enjoyed the movie with popcorns and juice. For KG1s, PAW Patrol was a fun
way to learn bravery and heroism, with exciting stories. Ryder and the pups also taught lessons about
caring for animals. It gave the young audience members the fun of a group of characters from which they
can choose their favourite, a reminder about confidence and believing in themselves, and a lesson in
teamwork. The movie could reinforce friendship, courage, selflessness, problem-solving and the
importance of facing your fears.
Overall, the little ones created awareness, developed cognitive and linguistic skills, increased
imagination and creativity, and entertained children in many ways.
